In 2013, in San Diego over 17,000 older adults were treated and discharged from the Emergency Department and an additional 7,000 were hospitalized.

Who Are We?
The Center for Parkinson and Other Movement Disorders at UCSD is the sponsor of two Parkinson’s Disease Support Groups. The Mission Valley Group meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month and the Torrey Pines Group meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The groups are uniquely structured for People with Parkinson’s and their Care Partners. By attending group meeting you can learn from your peers, get questions answered, discuss symptoms and medication options, share resources, and learn from people who have first hand experience. The groups are made-up of warm, smart, welcoming, funny, optimistic people. You are welcome to attend either or both groups. You do NOT need to be a patient at UCSD to attend. This is a service for the entire San Diego PD community sponsored by UCSD.
